A Victory for Parents and Students

A bill that requires Oklahoma public schools to designate restrooms based on biological sex passed the legislature with overwhelming support and was signed into law by Governor Stitt.

Special thanks to Rep. John Talley for proposing and advocating for SB 615's bathroom amendment. Without his efforts, the bathroom amendment would not have been possible this legislative session.

Thanks to Sen. David Bullard and Rep. Danny Williams for authoring and carrying the bill, and to the more than 40 legislative co-authors.

We are saddened that Stillwater Rep. Trish Ranson sided against parents, the common good, and reality by choosing to vote against SB 615.

Our response to Superintendent Washington’s statement

Interim Superintendent Gay Washington sent an email to families claiming that the District is simply following the law. This is not the whole truth, as our own response explains.
